the Somers Isles will spend the holiday at sea.

The Oleander arrived on Monday morning and discharged 142 containers, 33 of them refrigerated. There were four mafis holding Bermuda Electric Light Company transformers in the garage deck, a 40-foot flatbed with assorted cargo, a car, and a case of machinery.

The ship sails on December 30.

Agents for the Oleander are Container Ship Management Ltd. The Bermuda Islander arrived in Hamilton on Tuesday and discharged 74 containers, four of them refrigerated.

She sailed yesterday morning for New Jersey.

The Bermuda Islander is handled by Meyer Agencies Ltd., as is Somers Isles , which arrived in Hamilton on Monday from Florida.

The Somers Isles discharged 45 containers, two of them refrigerated.

Loose cargo included five bundles of steel, two empty storage tanks, 28 bundles of pipe, and a large antenna.

She sails today for Florida and will also spend Christmas on the Atlantic.

This afternoon, the tanker Iver Express is to arrive to discharge fuel at the Esso Oil pier. Because of the holidays, she will not discharge until Boxing Day.

It is expected she will berth at Murray's Anchorage until then. The Royal Navy was expecting a visit today from the Greek destroyer Themosticles , but because of bad weather it may not arrive before Boxing Day.

She is a Charles F. Adams class destroyer acquired from the United States.

Christian Venture , Bermuda's entry in the 1988 tall ship race, arrived at Ordnance Island on Wednesday morning with skipper Mr. Bobby Doe.
