Bermuda facing a crucial match
Smith for tomorrow's all important third place play-off against Holland at the ICC Trophy tournament in Kenya.
Smith faces possible sanctions from the disciplinary committee for his actions during the Island's semifinal loss against the host nation last Tuesday.
Penalties for such behaviour range from a warning, one game suspension to a lengthy ban, with Bermuda's team officials expected to be notified of any reprisals today.
Smith vehemently argued an lbw dismissal handed him by Namibian umpire Louis Van Reenen after scoring a dashing 108 and was duly reported by the Dutch referee.
Tomorrow's match features the pre-tournament favourites, Holland, and Bermuda in a game of great consequence as the winner grabs the last available spot in the 1996 World Cup while the loser goes home empty-handed with four years to contemplate.
Holland find themselves in the predicament after falling to surprise team United Arab Emirates by six wickets yesterday.
Meanwhile, there are a few injury worries for Bermuda with leading strike bowler Anthony Edwards nursing a groin strain while pace partner Kenny Phillip has an injured his hamstring.
Swing bowler Noel Gibbons and spinner Bruce Perinchief similarly have been bothered by minor ailments but are expected to play.
