MR Onions are clinging to the top of the Commercial League by their fingertips after blowing a 3-0 lead to draw with Valley over the weekend.

Onions took an early lead thanks to a near-post Colin Keane finish and Dave Lawler added a second from long distance. Eoghan O'Dwyer fired home a cracking left-footed drive from the edge of the box early in the second half to make it 3-0 to the visitors.

But despite controlling possession and having numerous excellent chances, Onions were unable to kill the game.

Valley were given a lifeline when they converted a penalty and when Lester Pun scored in his own net to make it 2-3 they began to believe they could take something from the game. The comeback was completed in the final minute when a long throw wasn't cleared and the ball was scrambled over the line.

Reigning champs Dandy Town Roots wasted no time in getting stuck into local rivals Key West Rangers as they stormed to a 3-0 half-time lead on the way to a 4-2 victory.

Clinical finisher Darron Simons was unstoppable as he scored a brace in each half. His first came after a diagonal ball from the right eluded the Rangers defence and he slotted the ball home smartly.

Simons scored his second a few minutes later when he was put through by Adam Outerbridge. Simons returned the favour shortly afterwards as he fed a ball into the penalty area for Outerbridge to fire home.

Pressure from a revived Key West after the break finally bore fruit when Earl Richardson was up-ended in the box and Burton Bruce netted. Any chance of a comeback was short-lived as Simons finished a Reggie Tucker free kick. Simons had time to grab a fourth, before Key West sub Troy Harvey netted after a long throw-in during the dying stages.

BAA beat Tuff Dogs 3-2 after scoring early when Simon Facione curled a free kick into the top corner. Dogs proved resilient opposition and struck back to lead 2-1 at half-time as Joe Corola calmly converted a penalty and then fired home from close range. BAA upped the pace in the second half and evened things up with 20 minutes left via a spectacular Gary Munn strike from distance.

In the dying minutes Sean Hill managed to scramble in a rebound after the Dogs 'keeper had parried a free kick.

A Joey Azman hat-trick and two from Torriano Trott helped Lobster Pot to a 7-0 win over Somerset Extros. Tom McMahon and Chuck Woods also netted.

Robin Hood edged out North Village Rams in a thrilling encounter at BAA Field. Justin Kempe and Derek Stapely put Hood ahead before former Bermuda legend Shawn Goater replied for Village. Hood's Steve Simons extended the the lead only for Rams' Alan Smith to peg one back while Goater got his second to even the game up before Simons bagged the win with a penalty.

In the B Division Group One, Somerset Bridge lead the standings after beating St. David's 12-0. Shane (Lotto) Proctor got a hat-trick, Timothy Telford, Kirk Simons and Arantus Turner netted two each and Lloyd Telford and Ronald Richard nabbed singles while keeper Mark Savery netted a penalty.

Boulevard beat Hamilton Parish 6-1 courtesy of a Easton Joell brace and strikes from Michael Pond, Reeve Young, Cleve Rodgers and Michael Holder. Derrick Grant got Parish's consolation.

PHC Raiders beat Vasco 2-1 after taking an early lead from a Michael Trott penalty. Vasco drew level when a poor clearance from the PHC keeper was intercepted. In a scrappy second half Raiders' Tyril Simmons lobbed the Vasco keeper and slammed the ball into back of the net to give Raiders all three points.

In Group Two, Devonshire All-Stars lead after beating Wolves 5-1. Wolves paid the price for starting with seven men.

All-Stars' Germano Botelho grabbed a hat-trick and Colin Zuill and Shawn Spencer scored one each. Shane Tucker was on target for Wolves.

Devonshire Lions beat Prospect/Fire 4-3 while MR Onions Real Men clawed their way back from a 3-1 deficit to grab a point against Dockyard Falcons. Gary (Tool Box) Trott smashed home from long range while Terry Rogers also found the target. Sub Andy Robinson curled in a delightful free kick to start the Onions revival only to fall further behind to a Duane DeRosa penalty. Onions' Dave Outrim converted from the sport shortly afterwards while Mike Baker fired home from close range to even the score.
