Junior Crown counsel Veronica Gordon told Senior Magistrate Will Francis that Police were dispatched to Grimes' Roberts Avenue home around 11 p.m. on Tuesday.

Ms Gordon said they were confronted by Grimes who appeared "riled and aggressive'' and was pacing about.

Grimes raised the knives and shouted: "You guys better get out of here or you'll get hurt.'' Ms Gordon added that Grimes, a mason, appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

After additional officers arrived, Grimes said: "You better take me. I called you guys.'' Grimes had nothing to say yesterday before he was sentenced and said he could pay the fine by tomorrow.

Kevin Sinclair Davis, 37, of Deepdale Road, pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court yesterday to possessing drug equipment at 12.40 p.m. September 2.

Junior Crown counsel Veronica Gordon said a Police patrol was on Curving Avenue, Pembroke when it saw Davis engaged in a suspected drug transaction.

As officers approached, he became nervous and reached into his pants pocket and pulled out an object and threw it away.

Ms Gordon said Davis told Police: "That ain't mine. I didn't throw that.'' Before he was sentenced, Davis, a self-employed painter, told Mr. Francis: "I'm sorry that I was in the wrong place at the wrong time for that situation there.'' The fine must be paid by January 22.

GANGS ROB TEENAGERS CRM Gangs rob teenagers Police are searching for five youths who robbed three 13-year-old boys outside Par-la-Ville Park at 2.30 on Monday afternoon.

The victims claimed they had money stolen after one of the muggers asked for $1 and then ran off with a larger bill which fell on the floor.

And Police are also looking for a gang of seven youths who terrorised a 14-year-old boy in Hamilton in broad daylight, slapping him until he handed over cash.

Police said the attackers, aged 13 to 15, made off with just $1.75 after the incident outside the Bermudiana Arcade on Queen Street on Monday afternoon.

It is not known if the two incidents are linked.

DOGS ATTACK GUARD CRM Dogs attack guard Two dogs attacked a hospital security guard, forcing him to run into the emergency department for treatment.

Police said a black German Shepherd and an American Bulldog set upon the man on Berry Hill Road at 7.20 a.m. yesterday.

The victim managed to run for cover despite a puncture wound to his right arm and scratches to his legs and face.

Investigating officers said the dogs were secured at the Department of Ariculture and Fisheries last night.

PROWLER DISTURBS TEEN CRM Prowler disturbs teen Police are hunting a night-time prowler who poked his head through the bedroom window of a teenage girl.

Officers said the girl ran screaming from her room on Elliott Street, Hamilton, when she spotted the man at 8 p.m. on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, a 64-year-old Pembroke man was arrested after being cornered by a dog at Knapton Estates, Smith's Parish, after a report of a prowler at 12.45 a.m. yesterday.
