Openers Chris Foggo and Angelo Cannonier hit 44 and 40 respectively in an opening stand of 78 as St. David's knocked the Flatts bowling for 233 in 45.1

round of the Junior Eastern Counties Cup at Lord's on Saturday.

Both batsmen were bowled by Damon Ming with Cannonier the first to depart and man-of-the-match Foggo being the fifth wicket to fall on 157 after two hours at the crease.

Foggo hit seven fours and Cannonier six fours. Number four batsman Rudell Pitcher chipped in with 22 before Ankoma Cannonier scored 16 in the middle order.

Tail-enders Gregon Minors (29 not out) and Javon Foggo (21) helped St. David's past the 200 mark. There was also 46 extras in the total.

Ming was the top bowler for Flatts, taking three for 63 from 12 overs while Maurice Lowe claimed two for 25 and Wolde Place two for 47.

No Flatts batsman reached double figures as the 25 extras proved to be the biggest contribution. Ankoma Cannonier claimed two for nought off just four deliveries while Rudell Pitcher took two for nine and Javon Foggo two for 18.

The Flatts innings lasted just 10.4 overs.

St. David's take on Cleveland in the second round on August 7.

Somerset will hold Cup Match training sessions today and tomorrow starting at 6 p.m.

TRIATHLON TRI Four participants of Sunday's inaugural Bermuda National Triathlon Championships at the United States Naval Annex were not included in the official results supplied by organisers. Finishing in positions 35 to 38 were: Midge Oliver (3:01:31), Jon Cotter (3:04:59), Kim Mason (3:06:57) and Marianne Herbert (3:25:04).

BASKETBALL BAS There will be a meeting of the Bermuda Basketball Association's Summer League today at the Department of Youth, Sport and Recreation boardroom starting at 7 p.m. All men's and women's team coaches are asked to attend.

SOCCER SOC There will be a meeting tomorrow at 7 p.m. at the club for all tour committee members and parents involved in the St. George's Colts youth tour.
