Ex-Wachovia CFO joins PartnerRe board

Former Wachovia Corp. CFO David Zwiener has been appointed to the board of PartnerRe.Mr. Zwiener, aged 54, was president and chief operating officer of the property and casualty operations at Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. between 2000 and 2007. In that role he oversaw one of the 10 largest property and casualty insurance companies in the US, in addition to serving as a member of Hartford's Board of Directors.Most recently Mr Zwiener was CFO at Wachovia, where he played a key role in managing the bank's capital, financial reporting and investor relations.

Most recently Mr Zwiener was CFO at Wachovia, where he played a key role in managing the bank's capital, financial reporting and investor relations.

Prior to that he was managing director and co-head of the financial institutions group of the global private equity firm the Carlyle Group.
