Elan plastic surgery clinic expands into California
Bermudians could be set to get their nips and tucks Stateside after a Bermuda-based plastic surgery clinic decided to open up a second practice in California.
The Elan Clinic Plastic Surgery and Medspa, which is run by plastic surgeon and proprietor Bruce Lattyak, will be launching the new clinic in the Lake Tahoe area on July 1.
The new addition to the business will offer an all-inclusive package to its patients in Bermuda, including pre-operative care on the Island, airfare, accommodation, surgery, post-operative care and ongoing follow-up in Bermuda.
Bermudian Dr. Lattyak will divide his time between the two clinics, carrying out all of the cosmetic surgery work and minimally invasive procedures.
"The option of having cosmetic surgery with someone you know and trust, benefiting from the privacy of having surgery abroad and, in addition, receiving ongoing care in Bermuda are in keeping with Elan Clinic's mission to meet our patients' needs in this very service-oriented field," he said.
"Also, because California is at the forefront of so many of the advances in cosmetic surgery and medspa treatments, we will be in a much better position to keep abreast of the newest techniques and technology and bring these advances to our Bermuda practice.
"I believe the linking of the California and Bermuda practices will be a tremendous benefit to our Bermuda-based patients.
"I have lived most of my life in California and Bermuda and have loved them both for different reasons and I wanted to get the best of both worlds for my patients."
The California clinic will provide all of the same plastic surgery and medspa treatments available at the Bermuda one.
Surgical procedures on offer will range from tummy tucks, breast augmentations, lifts and reductions, facelifts, eyelid lifts, browlifts, cosmetic nose surgery, chin and cheek implants and liposuction. The new practice will also feature Pearl laser rejuventation, a new laser procedure for fine lines, wrinkles and pigment problems of the face without the long recovery period from traditional laser surgery.
Meanwhile the Bermuda clinic, whose team is headed by Dr. Jane Crerar and includes three registered nurses and two support staff, is set to expand its minimally invasive non-surgical procedures, while continuing its medspa treatments like laser hair removal, laser vein treatment, Laser Genesis skin rejuvenation, microdermabrasion, sclerotherapy, Botox, injectable fillers, chemical peels and professional skin care.
The Elan Clinic was originally set up in Woodlands Road, Pembroke in 2001, before relocating to its new site at Cavendish Road just outside Hamilton in November last year.
