Bermudians board ships for last cruises
Three cruise ships are making their final call of the season to Bermuda this week.
The Norwegian Sea arrived in Penno's Wharf, St. George's yesterday morning and was due to leave the same day for Tortola, British Virgin Islands. Her 1,318 passengers include 30 Bermudians.
The same number of locals were also set to join the Norwegian Majesty which arrived yesterday in Ordnance Island, St. George's.
It will leave Bermuda for the final time this season today bound for San Juan with its 1,385 passengers.
Also taking its curtain call for this summer is the Carnival Legend which arrives tomorrow with 2,220 passengers who will return to Baltimore on Saturday.
Making only its second call of the year, the Grandeur of the Seas visits Dockyard with its 2,300 passengers on Sunday for a one-day visit.
On the freight front, TheBermuda Islander comes in tomorrow and leaves Friday after dropping off 135 containers including refrigerated containers.
The Somers Isles brought in 131 containers, including 13 refrigerated containers and an office trailer and boat.
The Oleander arrived in Hamilton on Monday with 173 dry boxes, 38 refrigerated, ten cars, one tractor, two mafi trailers and two flat beds.
The Royal Fleet Auxiliary ship Newton arrives in Dockyard to refuel tomorrow and will leave the same day.
