Students to learn about climate change
A book highlighting the world’s climate change and what it means to Bermuda will be in all of the Island’s schools in the near future.‘Climate Change on the Rock — What It All Means’, is the latest publication by the Bermuda National Trust.A copy of the book was presented to Education Minister Dame Jennifer Smith.“Climate change directly affects the lives of young children both now and in the future,” said Dame Jennifer. “It would be irresponsible for us not to share this information with them, to give them the opportunity to learn how their actions impact the health of the planet.”Added BNT executive director Jennifer Gray: “We encourage our community to understand the human impact on our environment and make wise choices to protect our Island and future generations.“The Trust is particularly grateful to Julian Cusack of Aspen [Bermuda Limited] who understands the big picture when it comes to climate change and the Island’s vulnerability to it. His foresight, encouragement and support have been a driving force behind the publication.”
