Businessman seeking to change company name to Island Cement
Less than 10 days after Government quango West End Development Corporation announced the imminent end of the lease of the Island's largest cement company, the Bermuda Cement Company, The Royal Gazette can reveal the identity of a businessman who is changing his company name to Island Cement Limited.
Whether there is any connection between the events at the Dockyard bulk cement plant and the decision of Construction Design & Development Limited to seek to change its name is not known as the company's sole shareholder Cliff Lambert declined to comment this week.
A legal notice was made last week announcing the intention to change the company name.
The company, of which Hamilton Parish man Mr. Lambert is a director, has its registered office in Church Street and has been a registered company since November 2004.
