Could Miles Market be planning to open a second store at the East End of the Island?The upscale supermarket's owners, brothers Will and Richard Cox, have applied to incorporate a new company called Miles East Ltd., giving rise to speculation that their gourmet grocery operation may be about to expand.Will Cox could not be contacted for comment yesterday, but the legal notice states the new company will be involved in making use of a quarter-acre plot of land off Old Ferry Road, in St. George's. The application mentions a warehouse.

Miles Market has been owned by the Cox family for five generations since the store was founded in 1862. Its current home is in the Waterfront development on Pitts Bay Road in Hamilton.
