Bank announces scholarship deadline
The Bank of Butterfield has announced that Friday March 29, 2002 is the new deadline for scholarship applications.
The Bank awards a total of five scholarships and bursaries each year. The Bank of Butterfield Undergraduate Scholarship, in honour of Sir Harry D. Butterfield, and the Bank of Butterfield Postgraduate Scholarship in memory of Sir A. Dudley Spurling, are both awarded to students who show outstanding academic achievement. They are valued at $20,000 per year and are tenable for up to four years.
Bank of Butterfield awards two overseas education bursaries based on financial need, extra-curricular activities and academic potential, to students pursuing undergraduate degree overseas.
Each bursary is valued at $20,000 per year and is tenable for up to two years.
The Bank of Butterfield Visual Arts Scholarship, worth $5,000, supports a Bermudian student's pursuit of education in the visual arts. It is presented each year at Bank of Butterfield's Art Festival by the Sea.
Through these scholarships and bursaries, Bank of Butterfield supports Bermuda's young people as they pursue their educational and career goals.
