Caribbean Football Championships after beating the Bahamas 9-0 on aggregate.

Taking a 3-0 first leg lead to the Bahamas on Sunday, Bermuda doubled their margin of victory with a 6-0 win.

Raneika Bean opened the scoring in the ninth minute from a right wing corner and midfielder Tiffany Swan made it 2-0 when she scored from a rebound off another corner.

Waynesha Bean netted the first of her two goals in the 41st minute before three more came after the restart. Chevonne Furbert hit the fourth in the 67th, Nikita Dill followed up with one in the 87th before Waynesha Bean netted again in the 90th to complete the rout.

Bermuda will now advance to the round robin semi-final in Haiti from July 12-16 along with the hosts and the winners of the Jamaica-Cayman Islands Martinique-Guadeloupe ties.

"I'm optimistic but cautiously optimistic, knowing nothing about our opponents,'' said assistant coach Wendell Furbert yesterday.

"Haiti, in particular, are a good team with an excellent striker while of Jamaica not much is known. They have a few girls in school like ourselves.'' The second round robin semi-final is scheduled for Trinidad, with the final also taking place in Trinidad between the top two teams.
