Jewellery and cash snatched in raids
jewellery and cash worth thousands -- and a ten-foot cedar tree.
Police said the tree was uprooted from a garden on Cut Road in St. George's while the owners were on holiday. They reported the theft on Tuesday.
Detectives have also launched an inquiry after the front take-out window to the Trattoria shop on Washington Lane, Hamilton, was smashed by thieves overnight on Tuesday.
The take-out manager told Police the cash till had been ransacked when he discovered the raid on Wednesday morning.
Meanwhile, Police are hunting the intruders who took a pair of Revo sunshades and thousands of dollars worth of jewellery from a house on Field View Lane, Pembroke, during the day on Wednesday.
The stolen items included a gold chain with diamonds and sapphire pendants, matching stud earrings, two ankle bracelets, a silver necklace and bracelet, three silver bangles, two silver "Tinkerbell'' bangles, three gold bracelets with hearts and balls and two sapphire and diamond bracelets.
Cash was stolen from the Pembroke Community Club on North Shore Road, Devonshire, on Wednesday.
And more money was taken during a break-in on Friswell's Hill, Devonshire, on Monday.

MAN SLAMMED AGAINST WALL BY VAN CRM Man slammed against wall by van Detectives are investigating a horror attack on a man who was rammed against a wall by three men in a truck.
Police said the 41-year-old victim from Pembroke was lucky to escape with minor injuries after the incident on Cox's Hill on Tuesday night.
They said the victim told Police he was "slammed against a wall'' by a white van.
He said he managed to squirm free and run off but the three attackers jumped out of the van, chased him and kicked and punched him before driving away.
He was treated for minor injuries before being allowed out of hospital.
Officers are understood to be working on the theory that the victim owed money to one of them men.

DETECTIVES INVESTIGATE BREAK-INS CRM Detectives investigate break-ins An expensive diamond ring was stolen from a kitchen on Ord Road, Paget some time between Sunday and Tuesday.
The theft was reported when a man returned home on Tuesday around 3 p.m. and found footprints on the kitchen counter. The chain to the front door was also broken.
The ring is described as square with a diagonal stripe of diamonds and a sapphire on either side.
Jewellery was also stolen from a house on Chapel Lane, Pembroke.
Police reported the resident's bedroom was ransacked and a diamond-cut rope chain was taken.
In another incident, a 13-inch colour TV was stolen from a home on Dundonald Street while the occupants were away, between 9 and 11.30 p.m. on Tuesday.
