Hamilton Insurance appoints two at its Lloyd’s operations
Bermudian-based specialty re/insurance outfit Hamilton Insurance Group Ltd has made two senior appointments in its Lloyd's operations, Hamilton Managing Agency Ltd.
Trevor Ormes joins as deputy active underwriter of Syndicate 4000 and head of professional lines, and Florence Mognetti joins as head of political risk.
Mr Ormes and Ms Mognetti will report to Miles Osorio, active underwriter of Lloyd's Syndicate 4000.
Both will be based in London, with Mr Ormes due to join the company later in the year and Ms Mognetti to start next Monday, in accordance with notice periods.

The company said Mr Ormes brings 35 years' industry experience to his new role. He comes to Hamilton following 20 years with Chubb in London, most recently as head of financial lines, having initially joined then ACE as a PI underwriter. Prior to joining Chubb, he spent two years as a PI underwriter at Lloyd's Syndicate SVB. Earlier, Mr Ormes spent 10 years at Aon in London in the professional services group broking major professional service accounts.
With 24 years' political risk experience, the company said Ms Mognetti comes to Hamilton following six years with Acappella Syndicate 2014 where she was divisional head of political risk. Before this, she was head of UK market, transactional cover unit with Euler Hermes, responsible for leading, managing and underwriting a political risk and credit portfolio with a worldwide remit. Previously, Ms Mognetti spent 14 years at Coface, where she initially trained in Paris, before becoming political risk director, London and Paris, establishing a political risk and credit portfolio from inception.
The company noted that Mr Daws' appointment to CEO, Hamilton Managing Agency Ltd and Mr Osorio's appointment to active underwriter of Lloyd's Syndicate 4000 are subject to regulatory approval.
