The Centre inched a step closer to claiming the Bank of Butterfield League title on Thursday night when they defeated defending champions BAA 7-4.
With the win, The Centre moved six points clear at the top of the standings with 40 from 21 matches, ahead of second place Hamilton Parish who have played a game less.
BAA are currently fourth with 30 points and out of the championship picture.
Corey Berkeley led the way for the victors, going 3-0, including a 22-20, 24-22 triumph over previously undefeated Nick Frost.
Aiding in the win were Dwayne Hill, who went 2-1 and Hassan Durham (1-2).
For the losers, Frost won two of three contests and Dave Waltham one, while Eddie Gladwyn went winless. BAA's other win came in the doubles as Waltham and Frost downed the tandem of Hill and Berkeley.
In other matches Princess II, spurred by Myron Piper, who went 3-0, defeated Wolves II 8-3, while Bermuda College hammered short-handed Social Club 10-1.
