Fourth place at Carifta for Washington

Jesse Washington finished fourth in the Boys 11-12 100m free final as the Carifta Swimming Championships came to an end in Barbados last night.Washington's time of one minute 2.17 seconds was well adrift of third placed Adrian Hoek of Netherlands Antillies who swam a 59.93. Tyreke Wernet of Aruba won the race ahead of Malcom Resin of Martinique.The fourth place was Bermuda's best finish in the five finals the Island's swimmers competed in yesterday.Of the rest, Ashley Yearwood finished her competition with a seventh place in the Girls 15-17 100m free, and there were also seventh place finishes for Nicholas Patterson (Boys 15-17 200m fly), Vanessa Esposito (Girls 11-12 200m IM), and Mitchell Gariepy (Boys 11-12 50m breast stroke).
