to collect his son from a Pembroke school.

Police spokesperson Evelyn James Barnett said the assault took place outside the Mount St. Agnes Academy on Friday afternoon.

The Smith's Parish man had gone to collect his 15-year-old son after school when he approached one of the youths, who he suspected of a theft late last year.

The teenager denied the theft and became abusive towards the man.

Two other boys allegedly attacked the man and a 16-year-old Pembroke youth from another school reportedly struck him in the face with a crash helmet.

The man was further assaulted by the youths before he was finally able to break free and leave with his son.

The father sustained a fracture to the bridge of his nose.

Police inquiries are continuing.
