Police: Tell us about parties
Created: Oct 28, 2004 11:00 AM
The Bermuda Police Service is asking the public to report any large parties to be held at public venues over the Halloween weekend.
Anyone who is having a public event is asked to call Sgt. Ian DeAllie on 295-0011.
Police would like notification only for events open to the general public and not for private parties or gatherings.
Police also issued the following home safety tips for Halloween:
Think fire safety, do not overload electrical outlets
Purchase batteries for smoke alarms and test your alarms
Keep Jack O'Lanterns, candles and/or hot objects away from flammable materials
Keep your home well lit to deter vandals
Clear the yard of objects to avoid injuring children
Tools and ladders should be kept under lock and key.
