Warwick Academy students hit the road for good cause
Warwick Academy students and their friends will be walking for two causes as part of their "Random Acts of Kindness Day'' this year.
The school is expecting around 600 students, parents, teachers and others to join the events, being held on March 12.
Warwick students are hitting the road to help Mihdi Brock, a two-year-old boy suffering from a rare spinal disorder which requires vital medical treatment in the US.
The Oriental-based medicine is not covered by normal medical insurance, and costs average around $10,000 a month. His father, Marvin Brock, will lead the march through Sandys, Southampton and Warwick.
The second good cause will be "walking for literacy'', which aims to raise enough money to buy and donate one book for each student in both the Southampton and Warwick pre-schools.
