Catch Montell et al at the Summer Jam
rhythm and blues festival on May 27, thanks to a collaboration between the Bermuda Broadcasting Company's Power 95 radio station and Track Entertainment executive producer Lee Heiman.
Entitled Power 95 Summer Jam, the artistic mix will include Grammy winners Montell Jordan and Ashford & Simpson, as well as Mint Condition, and Bermuda's own Tempo, and DJ Malcolm (Lethal Weapon) Smith.
"We are very excited to bring this calibre of superstar entertainment to the people of Bermuda, who have been so supportive of Track Entertainment's efforts in producing the Bermuda Jazz Festival,'' said Mr. Heiman. "We have found that jazz is popular on the Island, but Bermudians love R&B. We have found a great partner in Power 95 and the Bermuda Broadcasting Company, and look forward to making the Summer Jam a great event for many years to come.'' Tickets ($65) for the festival-style concert, which is sponsored by the Bermuda Telephone Company, Grotto Bay Beach Hotel and the Fairmont Princess Hotel, are now on sale at 27th Century Boutique, and the Music Box stores in Hamilton and St. George. They will also be available on the day of the concert at the Clearwater Beach box office. All tickets are general admission only.
Part proceeds will be donated to the Save the Children Education Fund in Bermuda.
