Toby Dillas to be Zar's understudy

Toby Dillas, the department's regional director in Boston, will be the understudy to American Paul Zar, the current North American Director of Sales.
Mr. Dillas yesterday told The Royal Gazette that he was delighted to get the job.
He said: "When I heard the news I was thrilled. I couldn't believe it. I am looking forward to the challenge.'' Mr. Dillas, who joined the tourism team in 1989, added that he looked forward to working with Mr. Zar.
He said: "I have to compliment Mr. Zar. I have a very high regard for what he has done over the last nine years. He has taken us to a very high standard and built a strong foundation.'' The department's assistant director of administration, Carol Wills, yesterday said Mr. Dillas' new position would be effective immediately.
Mrs. Wills added that Mr. Dillas would remain in the Boston office and continue his role as the area's regional director while understudying Mr. Zar, who has two years left on his contract.
Mr. Dillas will learn Mr. Zar's responsibilities which include developing regional sales objectives, setting targets, setting up regional sales programmes and monitoring results, as well as training, developing and maintaining the sales force.
Mr. Zar also works closely with -- and is accountable to -- Director of Tourism Gary Phillips.
