Warehouse burgled, wine stolen

Thieves struck four times in separate burglaries around the island on Tuesday – in one instance stealing 72 bottles of wine from a Sandys Parish warehouse.

Burglars entered the Freeport Drive warehouse between 6.30 p.m. Monday and 7.45 a.m. Tuesday, and made off with 12 cases of wine.

In a separate incident, thieves struck an unoccupied home on Stovell Bay Road in Pembroke between 7.30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesday, making off with a quantity of cash.

An empty home in Southampton was hit between 7 a.m. and 5.15 p.m.

Burglars stole a 32-inch flat screen TV, a Sony DVD player and a quantity of jewellery from the Southdown Close property.

Police also reported a quantity of jewellery taken from an unoccupied home on Irenee's Lane in St. George's between 8 a.m. and 6.40 p.m.

Inquiries into all the reported incidents are underway.
