(SMS), has announced the following appointments.

Ms Lisa Ferrari has been appointed as an Assistant Vice President, in the Client Financial Services department.

Ms Ferrari, who is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, is a senior account executive with responsibility for overseeing the administration of a portfolio of captive insurance company clients.

She joined SMS in April, 1991, after returning to Bermuda from Singapore, where she worked as a management consultant with KPMG Peat Marwick.

Ms Linda Sabia has been appointed as a Junior Broker. She joined SMS as an Assistant Broker in September, 1990, having previously worked in Bermuda for Amberco Brokers Ltd.

She is currently studying for the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation.

Also at SMS, Ms Pamela Lambarth has been presented with a cheque in recognition of her success in passing the qualifying examinations of the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Ms Lambarth, who is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, is a senior vice president, responsible for the Client Services department.

She is the company's longest serving employee, having joined SMS in June, 1980.
