morning died from a brain haemorrhage, an autopsy determined yesterday.

Benita Lynne Hinds, 25, died from injuries suffered in a domestic dispute on the base at about 4 a.m., Ensign Marie McGahan said.

Her husband, US Navy Petty Officer David Hinds, was in military custody but had not been charged by yesterday afternoon.

Naval Police and medical authorities arrived at the couple's quarters on the base minutes after a man at the scene dialled 911, Ensign McGahan said.

Despite CPR and other attempts to revive the woman, she was pronounced dead upon arrival at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

An autopsy at the hospital yesterday showed the woman died from a brain haemorrhage caused by a head injury, Ens. McGahan said.

She expected the investigation would be completed by tomorrow.
