Nahki Wells joins Bradford City on trial
Nahki Wells is hoping to win a contract at Bradford City after being taken on –trial by the English League Two side.The 20-year-old is looking for a new club after being –released by Carlisle United and will be vying to impress Bradford City coach Peter Jackson during pre-season training.City are also giving –tryouts to former Leeds striker Tom Elliott, midfielders Scott Brown and Steven Arau and forward Patrick Lacey.“There will be other –triallists coming in during pre-season but it is good to have a look at different –players,” said City boss Peter Jackson.“We know that we missed out on a couple of good –players last week, but every club will miss out on targets this summer“There are still around six or seven weeks to go before the start of the season.“We know there is still plenty of time to sign players up ahead of the season,” Jackson added.Wells was unable to –convince Carlisle United manager Greg Abbott he was worth an extended stay at Brunton Park and was shown the club’s exit doors at the end of last season.He was recommended to United by former Bradford City winger Mark Ellis who coached the winger at the –UK-based International –Academic and Soccer Academy.The Bermuda international made three first team appearances for United last term.
