BAS names Williams COO
Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd (BAS) has announced the promotion of Frank Williams to group chief operating officer, effective from September 1, 2011.Mr Williams, who has a background in engineering, was educated in England and worked around the world, started his career with BAS in 2001 working for its subsidiary BAS-Serco.He was responsible for managing BAS-Serco’s facilities maintenance division where he proved to be instrumental in growing the company and effecting change.In 2008, he was then promoted to vice-president and CEO of BAS-Serco and in 2009 he also accepted the additional responsibility of heading another BAS subsidiary, Otis Bermuda Ltd.BAS’s CEO Ken Joaquin said: “Frank is a welcomed addition to the BAS executive team, his education and varied work experiences make him a strong all round manager. We have every confidence that Frank has the ability to drive opportunistic synergies in the BAS group of companies.”
