two weeks remaining.

True, such a match-up would create even more fantasy if it were the final weekend, however tomorrow still stands out as the ultimate for followers of local soccer.

Devonshire Colts host Dandy Town at White Hill Field in what is the biggest game of the season, with Premier championship aspirations hanging in the balance.

Win and the title is virtually assured -- lose and see all the hard work put in during the season evaporate like boiling water.

As the standings indicate -- both teams having 23 points from 12 matches with Town leading via better goal difference -- little separates these two.

And such was emphasised during their previous league encounter, which ended 2-2. Colts might argue they should have won, with a rare penalty miss by skipper Shannon Burgess denying them all three points.

Hard luck aside, it would be hard to place the favourite tag on either, although Colts do have the advantage of being at home and have been active in the FA Cup in recent weeks, while Town have had to endure a lengthy lay-off due to a scheduling quirk.

Andrew Bascome will hope that the time away has served to invigorate, rather than create rust as their season reaches its zenith.

Town have the better scoring and defensive record of the two and, man-for-man rate higher. However, Colts have shown time and again the ability to rise to the big occasion and they do not come any grander than this.

While Colts and Town provide the main entree, North Village are salivating at their own prospects, as a draw by the aforementioned pair and a victory for the Red Devils places them in the driver's seat, a position they held for much of the first-half and into the second.

Victory is very much expected for Village, who stand just a point adrift and have the already relegated Southampton Rangers as the opposition for the day.

Somerset and Wolves clash at the west end with each battling to avoid falling into position for what would be a relegation/survival play-off against the second place team in the First Division. At the same time they will look to secure points to confirm themselves for next year's Martonmere Cup.

Similarly, Devonshire Cougars entertain PHC in a match having greater significance to the relegation scenario than the championship.

In First Division action St. George's have already clinched promotion and the title leaving it to the rest to battle for the runner-up spot.

Ireland Rangers have the inside track, but have stumbled the last two outings against St. David's.

They face a dicey encounter tomorrow against a vastly improved Boulevard Blazers outfit at St. John's and desperately need maximum points.

Paget finally find themselves back in play but have an uphill climb to capture second place and tough battle on their hands in the form of the Islanders.

Social Club host St. George's at Bernard Park.

In women's play, Little Venice travel to face Wolves Girls, while Dandy Stars and Rude Girls provide the curtain raiser at Somerset.
