The new marina at the Hamilton Princess is due to open this month.

And managers at the Fairmont hotel are to hold an open house on Saturday to promote the facility.

Hamilton Princess general manager Allan Federer said: “We are very excited about the imminent opening of the new marina.

“We are awaiting the last few approvals from the Government and then we will formally open the much anticipated marina.”

The 60 berth marina, part of a $90 million redevelopment of the hotel, will be the first full-service marina on the Island, offering pump out facilities, electrical services and water distribution.

It will offer berths for all sizes of boat, up to super yachts.

Extra services include picnic hampers for day trips and on-board catering for events on bigger yachts.

The open house will be held between 2pm and 5pm.
