Teenager recovering after accident

Photo by Tamell SimonsA 16-year-old man was sent to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital with arm and leg injuries after this collision with a car at 4.20pm yesterday at the northern roundabout at Crow Lane. Road traffic was delayed for about an hour.

A 16-year-old boy who was trapped under a car after a crash by the Trimingham Hill roundabout is said to be in stable condition at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital (KEMH).The collision between his auxiliary cycle and a car took place around 4.20pm yesterday, at the western entrance to Berry Hill Road, Paget. Emergency services removed the boy from beneath the car, which had turned on its side.He was today being treated on the general ward of KEMH for arm and leg injuries. The driver of the car was said to be unhurt.Witnesses to the collision are asked to contact Pc Delfi Burrows at 295 0011.
