The young Swifts team stuck to their game plan with the defence well marshalled by Dannielle Skinner, who received good support form Lisete Moniz.
Leigh Anne Shaw also worked tirelessly in midfield and Swifts might have come away with a shock victory as Nicola Francis fired just wide in the dying minutes.
In the B Division, Orioles downed Swifts 3-0 with all the goals coming in the first half through Alison Ince, Marlo Smith and Zina Jones.
The season resumes on January 10.
