Seniors invited to tea by Premier

As a part of Senior Citizens Week, they have been invited to the annual tea party at the Premier's official residence, Camden in the Botanical Gardens.

More than 200 seniors are expected to attend the event on Sunday at 3 p.m.

Other events planned for the week include an Opening Ceremony at City Hall on Monday, a Jazz concert in Victoria Park on Wednesday, a seniors' picnic at Shelly Bay Beach on Friday, and an ecumenical extravaganza at St. Paul's Centennial Hall on Sunday, June 7.

The concert, which is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m., is being hosted by Government and Community Services Minister Yvette Swan.

Featured acts include Mrs. Earlston Smith, Mrs. Jean Howes and Friends; Mr.

Rudy Ford and Rythem; Victor Scott School & Dancers; Northlands School Choir under the directorship of Mrs. Persis Butler; Ghandi Burgess & Friends.
