Premier to throw out first pitch at Mets game tonight

The Bermuda Night game between the New York Mets and the Chicago Cubs tonight will be broadcast live to Cablevision subscribers in Bermuda at no charge.

The game will be seen on Cablevision Channel 99 beginning at 8 p.m. local time.

Bermuda Night presents tourism officials the opportunity to showcase Bermuda as a visitor destination to fans at Shea Stadium, in New York, and watching on television.

More visitors come to Bermuda from New York than anywhere else in the world.

Tonight reigning Bermuda Idol Larrita Adderley is scheduled to sing the US national anthem and Bermuda's Warwick Gombey Troupe will perform as part of the pre-game festivities after an introduction by Board of Tourism Chairman E. Michael Jones.

Premier and Minister of Tourism and Transport Ewart Brown will throw out a ceremonial first pitch and will be interviewed during the live television broadcast on SportsNet New York (SNY).
