Younger Cox appointed the Registrar of Companies
Registrar of Companies within the Finance Ministry.
But Jeremy Cox, 36, who has been acting Registrar of Companies for several months since Kymn Astwood stepped down to join the private sector, has worked in the office since 1993 most recently as inspector of companies.
Mr. Cox is also the younger brother of Minister of Home Affairs, Immigration and Public Safety Paula Cox.
The Governor announced the appointment yesterday and Mr. Cox will take up the post on July 23.
He holds an undergraduate honours degree in finance and insurance and a postgraduate qualification as a certified public accountant.
As inspector of companies Mr. Cox oversaw the re-registration of all Bermuda insurers.
He has also served on the Insurance Advisory Committee, as well as that body's marketing, regulatory and private bills sub-committees.
