Serving community is Cynthia's top priority
Bermudian community when she was recently called to the Bar. Ms Thomas, who works in the Government as Assistant Registrar of Companies, was introduced in the Supreme Court by lawyer Wilhelm Bourne on November 28.
Called to the Nova Scotia Bar on June 14, 1991, Ms Thomas is a graduate of Dalhousie University where she completed a Bachelor of Science (major Biology), Bachelor of Arts (major Psychology), and a Bachelor of Laws (specialising in Corporate Law).
During her final year at Dalhousie Law School she served as President of the Dalhousie Law Student Association. Ms Thomas is married to Shaun Morris, a partner at Appleby, Spurling & Kempe, and they have a baby boy, Shamar.
Before coming to Bermuda, she worked as a lawyer in Canada and Hong Kong where she spent two and a half years.
An advocate for women's rights Ms Thomas is presently a member of the Business & Professional Women's Association of Bermuda.
