About 90 customers of power firm Belco remained without power this afternoon in the wake of this week’s major storm.
The company said repair crews were working on branch lines and smaller power cuts.
A Belco spokeswoman said: “We would ask customers who remain without power to please be patient as the island was impacted by sustained storm force winds for a long time with blustery winds continuing today.
“Crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to repair damaged infrastructure and restore power.”
The main areas included Southampton and St George’s, with staff on duty from 8am to midnight until power was restored.
