Help fund the Africa Yoga Project with a yoga and pilates Practice in the Park on Saturday, August 26th.
Starting 9am at Barr’s Bay Park, join teachers from Lucky Elephant Yoga Studio for 45 minutes of pilates led by Vehia, followed by 45 minutes of yoga led by Ewa. There will also be a DJ and a bake sale along with other fun activities.
These classes are open to all levels of students with no previous experience necessary. Drop Ins are welcome.
The cost is a $20 minimum cash donation. All proceeds will go towards the Africa Yoga Project.

The Department of Health is taking it to the streets, offering Free Health Checks on Friday, September 1st.
From 4pm until 8pm at Dr E.F. Gordon Square in Hamilton, adults 18 and over can get their blood glucose and blood pressure checked, as well as cardiac profiling and other health monitoring.
Another free health check will take place on Friday, 22 September (King’s Square, St. George) also from 4pm to 8pm.

Perfect for beginners interested in learning a specific life-changing meditation technique, join My Sereni-Tea for a 4-week journey to create your “Inner Sanctuary” with their course Create Your Sacred Space Within starting on Thursday, September 7th.
The course will be led by Deryn E. Higgins Mh. D CST, to give you scientific tools to use each day, dealing with life on its terms, and bring you back to your heart center.
This 5-session course will run from 6:30pm to 8:30pm, every Thursday until September 28th, and from 6pm to 7pm on Friday, September 29th,
The cost is $275 and a non-refundable $50 deposit is required to secure your space. A certification from Delphi University will be given upon completing the course. All sessions must be taken.

Try a music and movement class created for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and their caregivers at Zumbini on Saturday, September 9th.
From 10:30am at 20 Union Street, upstairs Henry’s Laundromat, you are invited to come sing, play instruments and bond with your little ones (ages 0-4) as they promise the ultimate bonding experience for you and your child. Through music and movement, this class is designed to promote the development of children’s cognitive, social, emotional and motor skills.
This is a free trial class and participants must register in advance.

Are you ready to start your Reiki Journey this year? If yes, then join My Sereni-Tea as they host Reiki Level One Training on Sunday, September 24th.
This one-day workshop will be held from 10am until 1pm at their premises on the 4th floor of the Bermudiana Arcade.
Reiki is an ancient healing art that promotes self-healing, relieves disease and stress, and encourages an overall state of well-being. Experience the possible shift when you unblock your mental, emotional, spiritual field.
In Reiki Level 1 they will examine the history of this fascinating art, as well as the practical teachings to allow students to begin to practice the right way. The class allows the Reiki Level 1 students to practice on themselves and others.
The cost is $200 and a non-refundable deposit of $50 is required to secure your space. Students will be given a Reiki Level 1 Certificate in the Usui Method of Reiki upon completion of the class.
