Mugging victim airlifted to Boston for medical treatment

A mugging victim was airlifted to the Lahey Clinic in Boston on Sunday after he was head-butted in a vicious assault at Hamilton Parish workmen?s club.

The 29-year-old Hamilton parish man was at the bar at 1 a.m. on Sunday morning when a 19-year-old man he knew grabbed a chain from his neck and took two rings.

The victim was head-butted several times during the attack and suffered cuts and a neck injury.

He was examined at King Edward VII Memorial and then flown to Boston. Witnesses should call Detective Constable Taylor on 297-1122.
