Calling film fans: BIFF begins on March 4

• Help the community by being more helpful in a crisis with the Bermuda Red Cross’s Psychosocial First Aid Course starting on Friday, March 4. With the increase of crime and other critical incidents affecting the community, the Bermuda Red Cross have identified the need to educate and train key persons in the community to enable more to respond to these issues. This workshop will do just that. Rather than be reactive disorganised and passive, they have decided to take a proactive approach to work alongside other community stakeholders on behalf of the community. The goal is to establish and implement community crisis response/service teams. This course will run over a 3-day period starting on Friday, March 4, and continuing on Saturday, March 5, and Friday, March 11. Seven modules will be covered and the class will run from 8.45am until 5pm each day. Attendees must be able to commit to the entire workshop. The cost is $250 per person. For more information, or to register, contact Petra Spencer-Arscott on 236-8253 ext 225 or education@bermudaredcross.com.
