A Raymond Beach brace saw Dandy Town breeze past hapless Devonshire Colts in the FA Cup preliminary round at Police Field yesterday.

The former Bermuda international showed his predatory instincts by scoring two first-half goals to ensure Hornets a safe passage through to the next stage of the competition.

Hornets had to play out the final quarter of an hour with ten men after striker Lynn Tucker was dismissed for two bookable offences.

It was a strange day for 2007 FA Cup winners Colts, who didn't play that badly and created a number of second half chances, but continued to look toothless in the absence of injured talisman Aljame Zuill.

The worst miss for Colts came from their gifted young midfielder Marco Piper who found himself bearing down on goal but could not find the finish to match his bulldozing run.

Defender Shaun Perinchief also selfishly shot wide with his weaker right foot when a squared pass to one of three team-mates stationed in the box would have been a far better option.

At the other end Tucker shot wildly over the bar from an tight angle while Nakhi Wells couldn't quite thread his by-line pass into the path of the Beach who looked hungry for his hat-trick.

Wells then made way for his 16-year-old brother, Rico Wells, who gave an entertaining cameo performance as a late substitute.

Colts coach Keishon Smith cut a forlorn figure at the final whistle, his side have won only once this season – a victory over PHC. And unless they find they scoring touch Colts will almost certainly become embroiled in their second successive relegation dogfight.
