Boys and girls, aged seven to 10, will compete in the 100-metre swim, two-and-a-half-mile cycle and half-mile run while the 11 to 14-year-olds race over a course taking in a 200-metre swim, five-mile cycle and one-mile run.

Prizes this year include trophies and gift certificates for the first, second and third-place finishers in all categories. In addition, all children receive certificates of participation and goody bags from Gibbons Company.

Last year's overall champions were Grant Smith and Vanessa Madeiros.

Entry forms are available at all schools as well as the Children's Department at Gibbons Company. These forms must be returned to the store accompanied by a $7 entry fee no later than 5 p.m. Saturday, June 6.

For further information contact Dawna Ferguson at 295-1183. RUGBY RUG Tom Watters was this week re-elected as president of the Bermuda Rugby Football Union for the 1992/93 season.

Vice-president is Peter Borland, with secretary David Cooke.

The other officers are as follows: Danny Forsyth (treasurer); Peter Booth (fixtures secretary); Fraser Butterworth (patron secretary); Brian Toms (public relations officer).

Special mention was made at the annual meeting of Fraser Butterworth, who, along with Robin Henagulph and David Mutch, has long been dedicated to the mini-rugby programme. In recognition of their dedication they were made honorary vice-presidents.

Roy Dunn was also made an honorary vice-president for his service to the game over the past 20 years.

TENNIS TEN The Southampton Princess Tennis Club is hosting another mini-camp.

Including two hours of instruction, a round-robin tournament and a champagne cocktail party, the camp will run from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 14.

Anyone interested in taking part should call Debbie Harper or Mark Cordeiro at the tennis shop on 238-1005. The cost of the camp is $70.

Meanwhile, next Wednesday sees the start of two four-week tennis courses, one for beginners and the other for intermediate players.

The beginners lessons run from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m., while the intermediate sessions take place from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. Each course costs $50. SOCCER SOC There will be a meeting for all those interested in representing Dandy Town during the upcoming season from Mini-Minor to senior level today (6 p.m.).

BASKETBALL BAS The Centre's women's basketball team is looking for players for the upcoming summer league season. Anyone interested can call Carol Ann Wade at 292-1343.*l
