Charged with computer hacking

Mark DeCosta, 19, of White Sands Road, Paget, was charged under the Computer Misuse Act 1996 with using a computer to secure unauthorised access.

Police allege that DeCosta committed the offences three times last year -- on October 7, 21 and 22.

Senior Magistrate Will Francis adjourned the case for trial on February 9.

NOT GUILTY PLEA TO STEALING BAR EQUIPMENT CTS Not guilty plea to stealing bar equipment A man was charged with stealing 52 metal chairs, eight bar stools, 25 tables, two bar meters, six cases of bar glasses, two glass washers and two cash registers in Magistrates' Court yesterday.

Cleveland Simmons, 55, of Reid Street in Pembroke, pleaded not guilty to stealing $15,464 worth of bar equipment from Eve's Cycles in Pembroke between August 1 last year and the end of February this year.

The case was adjourned for trial on March 2 next year.
