Warwick man fined $350 in Magistrates' Court

Keniel Ingham, of Rocklands Road, pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court to obstructing Police officers while executing their powers under the misuse of drugs act on November 14 in Warwick.
Police prosecutor Sgt. Phil Taylor said Police were on patrol when they spotted Ingham, near the entrance of the Pembroke Hamilton Club, making what appeared to be a transaction.
Upon seeing Police, Ingham fled into a bathroom in the clubhouse.
Sgt. Taylor said Ingham went into a stall and locked the door but was seen by the officer throwing something into the toilet.
The officers could not get into the stall before the item was flushed.
Acting Senior Magistrate Cheryl-Ann Mapp ordered Ingham to pay a $350 fine for obstructing the officers.
Police make appeal Police have appealed for help from the public after a series of incidents involving wilful damage to several cars recently.
Sometime between 10.30 p.m. on Wednesday and 8.20 a.m. on Thursday a 38-year-old Sandys Parish man said he parked his car on Woodlawn Road and returned to find the front windscreen was damaged on the driver's side.
He was unable to locate the object that caused the damage despite a thorough check.
In a separate incident, three teachers at a Pembroke Secondary school returned to their cars on Thursday afternoon to find them damaged on their front, rear doors, boot and side stripping.
