A survey to canvass public opinion on the future of the Bermuda Hospitals Board was launched today.

BHB management said the results would be used to help draw up its next five-year plan.

Dr Michael Richmond, the chief executive and president of the BHB, said: “We are a community hospital, and ensuring the voice of the people who need us and use us is reflected in our strategy helps us identify improvements and strategies that will make a difference for patients and their families.

“We want to make Bermuda proud, but what does that look like to Bermuda residents? We hope people will take a few minutes to have their say.”

The survey, which will run for a week, week asks for views on what improvements could be made to hospital services at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, the Mid-Atlantic Wellness Centre, the Lamb Foggo Urgent Care Centre and BHB group homes.

BHB’s last five-year strategy ends in March.

People can take the survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BHBCommunity or on the BHB website at www.bermudahospitals.bm until next Thursday.
