Walk the red carpet on your special day
Like scores of Bermudians who have bought the extremely popular Honda CRV, Jameka Outerbridge had one desire in mind<\m>to travel our roads in luxury.
But after considerable thought, she decided that her CRV could provide a business opportunity and the 31-year-old conceptualised and began operating Red Carpet Limousines.
Recently, Ms Outerbridge sat down with The Royal Gazette to discuss the services that she offers to those looking to make their wedding day one they will never forget.
She says that she was confident that she would be able to get her business off the ground in what appears to be an already saturated market.
“I saw the opportunity to provide a great, new service unlike any other and felt it could give bridal parties a chance to enjoy comfort and luxury on that special day.
“Many of the cars which also offer this service can be cramped and uncomfortable, especially for the bride and taller people. The Honda CRV is just the opposite.”
She continues: “There is a remarkable amount of space in the back of these cars and the bride will not have to worry about her dress becoming wrinkled or flawed in any way.”
With several CRVs in her fleet already, Ms Outerbridge aspires to change the mindset where people believe that the only cars in a bridal procession should be either black, white or silver.
“In trying to get Bermudians away from the ordinary, I’ve included the charcoal grey and meteor silver in wedding options.
“Many Bermudians like to stay with what is considered the norm...I hope to influence them otherwise,” she tells The Royal Gazette.
But what makes her service stand out from any of the others?
“We offer what we like to call our exclusive ‘Red Carpet Service’,” she replies.
“This is inclusive of chilled champagne or sparkling juice for those who don’t drink, water, Red Carpet Limousine chocolates, and rose petals. The bride and groom will also receive a gift from us.
“And of course, we will roll out the red carpet for you as you enter and exit your limousine. You are guaranteed to arrive in style.”
She adds that several people have questioned her choice of calling the CRV’s limousines, and she clarifies, “The definition of a limousine is a large, luxurious car usually driven by a chauffeur. I can’t think of a better way to describe the cars.”
While the company has a set price for its service, Ms Outerbridge says she is always willing to work with couples in order to meet their specific needs on their day because she wants her company’s contribution to their wedding day to be a memorable one.
“We are in the service of making the bride and groom feel extraordinary on their most memorable day. And I believe Red Carpet Limousines provides just that.”
