Despite a few sprinkles of rain on Thursday, the final two days of the 64th Agricultural Show were bathed in glorious sunshine and cool breezes.

Visitors and locals flocked to the annual show despite the absence of the popular livestock due to the threat of foot and mouth disease.

The high-flying Honda Imp team proved extremely popular with show-goers and amazed audiences with their skills and stunts, putting on seven shows over the three day event.

Environment Minister Terry Lister awarded monetary prizes to the winners of the popular Fun Team Relay Competition which was introduced last year and involves a horse, a pedal bike and a dog, and a few humans for guidance.

Each team represents a charity, and any prize money is donated to the charity, and the winning team this year was the Bermuda Botanical Society, followed closely by the Bermuda Zoological Society and in third place was a team from Somerset Primary.

The hotly contested Trott Shield which was awarded to the parish gaining the most points in the exhibition went to Smith's parish.

Personal achievement awards included the W.R. Evans Shield for the junior with the most points in the show, which was awarded to Lucy Hollis while the Mary-Jean Mitchell Green Trophy for the adult exhibitor with the most points in the show was shared between Mark Outerbridge and Joyce Zuill. Saturday's closing ceremonies included a Beating of the Retreat performed by the Bermuda Regiment Band and Corps of Drums under the direction of the Director of Music, Major Barrett Dill.
