BF&M donates to feeding programme
BF&M Ltd has made a $5,000 donation in response to an appeal made by Huckleberry Restaurant and Christ Church to support their Community Feeding Programme.
Huckleberry’s is preparing 1,000 meals a week, which are being distributed by Christ Church, in Warwick, in conjunction with the Eliza Dolittle charity, to families and individuals in need.
Scott Kitson, owner of Rosedon Hotel, said: “We extend heartfelt thanks to the management and staff of BF&M Insurance Group for their generous support of Huckleberry Restaurant’s participation in the Christ Church Community Feeding Programme.
“The programme’s objective is to prepare and deliver nutritionally balanced meals to those in Bermuda’s population facing challenges with food security. Donations and support by Bermudians and local businesses are helping to make the programme sustainable in the longer term, meaning those facing financial hardship and most in need of support can at least meet the basic necessity of having something decent to eat. We are sincerely thankful for all support and are proud to be working together in helping to provide this basic necessity to Bermuda’s community.”
John Wight, group chairman and chief executive officer of BF&M, said: “It’s our pleasure to support local initiatives that help to ease the burden faced by so many families during these unforeseen times.”
