Planning closes to allow office move

The Department of Planning will be closed to the public next Friday as it moves to its new location.The Department offices, which are located in the Government Administration Building, are moving to the new Dame Lois Browne-Evans building at 58 Court Street.A Ministry spokeswoman said: “In an effort to minimise inconvenience to the public, the Planning offices will be closed to the public on March 4 to facilitate the move, and will reopen on March 7 at the new location.”Currently, the reception area of the Department is filled with hundreds of containers, but the spokeswoman said: “It is required that payment of fees for planning and building permit fees and product purchases should be made at the Government Administration Building in the short term to accommodate the relocation process.”The offices of the Ministry of Environment, Planning and Infrastructure will also be closed, on March 4 as it moves to the new building.l Useful website: www.gov.bm
