New Tourism workshops will be business focused
Cultivating innovative new ideas for visitors to enjoy Bermuda is the focus of a fresh round of Tourism Experiences workshops aimed at the Island’s entrepreneurs.
The Bermuda Tourism Authority will deliver a second set of the one-day workshops on Thursday, September 4 and Friday, September 5, hosted by the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute.
The foundation courses come just ahead of the BTA’s Tourism Experiences Investment initiative, which will start taking in submissions at the end of the second workshop.
The workshops are to inform and guide entrepreneurs looking to obtain support for “new and existing tourism experiences”, according to the BTA statement issued yesterday — both for attracting tourists, and providing visitors with special experiences once on the Island.
The workshops will cover facets of the Bermuda experience laid out in the National Tourism Plan, such as sports, arts and culture and unique experiences, that have been deemed integral to improving the tourism product.
Those wishing to attend should register online at www.gotobermuda.com/bermudatourism/Forms/Tourism-Experiences-Investment/.
An account will be created to register workshop attendance, as well as for the Experiences Investment submission process. Entrepreneurs who aren’t yet ready to submit a proposal are still welcome to attend, with the deadline for registration set for August 29.
Queries should be sent to rburgess@bermudatourism.com.
Thursday’s workshop runs from 1pm to 4.30pm, while the Friday workshop is to from 9am until 12.30pm.
