Pharmacy field growing: Career Profile: Pharmacists

Occupational Profile Dispenses drugs and medicines prescribed by doctors, dentists and veterinarians. Also advises people on the use of medicines that do not need a doctor's order. May prepare medicines and test drugs for purity and strength.

Keeps records of the drugs patients use and advises doctors on the selection, use and side effects of drugs.

The job outlook for Bermuda is good with plenty of room for prospective students in both retail and hospital settings.

Education A B.Sc. degree from an accredited school of pharmacy Good passes in mathematics, chemistry, physics, biology and English language.

Be registerable with the Bermuda Pharmacy Board.
